Peces Mentideres (Deceitful Pieces) is the first approach, then, to the world of labyrinths. It’s a work in between a performance and a show. We premiered it in Salt last September and I hope it will keep the confusion in which it was created.
Peces Mentideres is a solo, and like all solos it is both a self-portrait and a battle with oneself, a monologue that speaks of the labyrinths of which we are woven and of which our life and our relations with others are woven.
It shows us the continual surprise of being people made up of different little pieces, even those which don't belong to us and which we take from others.
Peces Mentideres questions this monolithic identity we are at times
supposed to be through questions, transformations, imitations, the shadows and the reflections, the mirrors and the doubles the game...
